Way down in the previous postings to this forum is the information you are looking for. It should be a posting by Bruce Clarke. It has the article from Rider Magazine linked to it, and that has the step by step on how to get more fue flow.
Good luck, if the bike has been around for awhile, the top screws in the carb are likely frozen in place.
